Truth Trumps Proganada by Cindy Sheehan

Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed: ... everything else is public relations."
― George Orwell.

Good political art punches up and fearlessly exposes the sins of the criminal elite even at the risk of retribution against the artist.

Re-enforcing official party narratives is what propagandists do. Challenging them is what political art is supposed to do.

When you create art that glorifies a corrupt establishment politician, you are no different than the artists employed by fascists and dictators in the 20th century.
You become a tool of the state speaking lies for the powerful, instead of speaking truth to power.

Shepard Fairey, the artist who created the iconic fascist-inspired Hope poster for Obama has expressed regrets about the illustration because Obama has not lived up to his campaign promises. Exactly why you don't do it.

I am seeing a disturbing trend in political art coming from purportedly progressive artists. There are beautiful visual hagiographies of Obama and Hillary being churned out by some of the best illustrators working today.

Some of these works are even more obsequious than the legendary "Hope" image. I know these artists mean well and see themselves as champions of just and righteous leaders.

They are falling into propaganda. When we do so, we become complicit in the crimes of the establishment.

This portrait of a glowing Hillary brings to mind the smiling Chairman Mao pictures painted by slaves of the Chinese Communist Party. Is this an endorsement of her legacy of failed wars, chaos, and corruption?

There is not a hint of irony or balance to the piece. It is an advertisement for the queen of the oligarchy. The tagline "Love trumps hate" is a campaign talking point the artist has regurgitated on to his illustration. The line is as vapid and hollow as the eyes of his subject in the piece.

Love of what? War? Tyranny? Money? Power? This woman promoted the lies that took us to war in Iraq, stole the nomination from Sanders and Wikileaks is exposing her as corrupt and disdainful of the public.

Ward Sutton has created an outstanding body of work in his career as a political cartoonist. He is a talented artist who has valiantly chronicled the evil exploits of the Republican crime syndicate and I applaud him for his efforts.

This is not an attack on Ward. I like Ward. This is not me perched on my high-horse judging other artists. My works are nothing but filthy rags, but those rags will never be used in the service of war criminals.

I can only "hope" this is not the kind of "hard-hitting" political art we can expect to see in the age of Hillary.

The mainstream media has abandoned any pretense of decency and objective reportage. They work to promote the interests of their corporate sponsors and are infested with political operatives posing as journalists.

Artists and alternative media are our last line of defense against an onslaught of officially sanctioned dis-information.

Presidents have the bully pulpit and a compliant media to promote their narratives.

It is incumbent on artists to investigate and question the validity and morality of their positions, not act as amplifiers.

Come on, people!!!!

Killary vs. the World by Anthony Freda

Watching the mainstream media working with the Clinton campaign to promote her discredited talking points and her mendacious "Fact checks" is watching the end of the fourth estate, and the end of a free republic.

Hillary and a complicit media have run the dirtiest campaign in modern history, but that is not the worst of their crimes.

They have successfully launched the broken coalition strategy and by releasing tawdry sex tapes they are attempting to neutralize attacks against them in that category.

A classic Machiavellian move is to charge your opponent with the very crimes you are guilty of.

It is a known fact that Bill Clinton is a violent, serial rapist and that Hillary threatens his victims and that she laughed about preventing a child rapist from receiving justice.

Disgraceful and repulsive, yes, but ultimately trivial in the big picture. The true crimes of Clinton include lying us into the Iraq War and spearheading the destruction of Libya, a murderous disaster.

Her policies have lead to the slaughter and displacement of millions, the empowerment of ISIS and the installation of a Sharia regime in Libya. Why do her supporters forgive her crimes against humanity?

Even if you believe the excuse that she made a mistake, why would you vote for someone who makes blunders so enormous they result in global mayhem and wholesale murder?

The psychopaths who currently run the world are preparing nuclear armageddon and our pathetic media is obsessing over meaningless sex scandals.

They are failing humanity once again. The sex distractions are only relevant because they reveal how sick our society is and how deviant our "leaders" are.

The country is hypocritically and selectively "shaken to its core" by sexual vulgarity, but does not care about war crimes or the unparalleled level of Clinton's corruption.

Wikileaks is exposing in hacked emails on a daily basis the disdain Hillary holds for her supporters and the truth.

They are revealing the disgusting details of the Clintonian pay-for-play model of statesmanship, and their collusion with the mainstream media to destroy Bernie Sanders and deceive the public.

But you won't hear stories about the fact that Bill Clinton got a million dollar birthday present from Qatar to grease the way for shady business deals in Haiti on the corporate news.

You won't hear about the backroom deals Hillary made with Goldman Sachs in exchange for millions of dollars in "speaking fees" either.

You will hear every vulgar detail of Gropegate, however.

The mainstream media cannot tell you the truth because they would be forced to expose their own collusion with the Clintons if they reported the Wikileaks bombshells.

The danger of having a media that is not working to reveal the crimes of a presidential candidate, but working to protect them is obvious.

They helped her promote the lies that took us to Iraq and ruined Libya and they continue to obfuscate her sins with lies of omission.

What will prevent them from helping her achieve her stated goal of war with Syria, which most military analysts say means nuclear war with Russia?

You know, World War 3? Hillary has vowed to destroy alternative right media in a flagrant contempt for freedom of speech.

Will she attempt to purge the alt-left media as well?

The Clinton machine has been effectively executing a coup at Fox aimed at replacing any critics with groveling propagandists.

Who will her followers and fawning media blame for all the ills of the world once their whipping boy Trump is gone?

Putin and Assad seem to be the new boogiemen. The problem is that they cannot be wiped away with smear campaigns and weaponized media. Their removal will require actual nuclear weapons.

The mainstream media has proven they will cheerlead her efforts to bring us to war and defend her crimes. They promote her "public" stance and bury her "private" stance.

Once she has succeeded in destroying all opposing media, it will be nearly impossible to hold her accountable for her crimes and to challenge her lies.

"Nasty" And "Wrong" by Anthony Freda

In 2002, then Senator Hillary Clinton enthusiastically promoted the obviously false charges against Saddam Hussein made by the Bush regime and implored her fellow Democrats to vote for preemptive war against Iraq.

She ignored the UN weapons inspectors and other experts who insisted that there was zero evidence to support Bush's claims of possession of weapons of mass destruction and an imminent threat from Iraq.

Along with 27 other Democratic Senators and 81 members of the House of Representatives, she voted Yea on Resolution 114 on October 11, 2002.

Senator Hillary Clinton, in justification of her vote to authorize the invasion, falsely insisted that Iraq's possession of such weapons was "not in doubt" and was "undisputed."

Despite her lies, Obama named her his first secretary of State and she is currently poised to become the President of the United States.

She now infamously claims in her self-serving whitewash of her criminal past "Hard Choices" that she "got it wrong"

I believe she made a political calculation to send American kids to die in a war she knew was based on lies.

From Truthout : "The Iraq War resolution backed by Reid, Biden, Clinton, Kerry and other Democratic Senate leaders claimed that "the risk that the current Iraqi regime will either employ those weapons to launch a surprise attack against the United States ...
or provide them to international terrorists who would do so … combine to justify action by the United States to defend itself."

In other words, those who supported this resolution believed, or claimed to believe, that an impoverished country, which had eliminated its stockpiles of banned weapons, destroyed its medium- and long-range missiles and eliminated its WMD programs more than a decade earlier, and had been suffering under the strictest international sanctions in world history for more than a dozen years, somehow threatened the national security of a superpower located more than 6,000 miles away. Furthermore, these members of Congress believed or claimed to believe, that this supposed threat was so great that the United States had no choice but to launch an invasion of that country, overthrow its government, and place its people under military occupation in the name of "self-defense"

The carnage and mayhem her "mistake" has unleashed upon the world cannot be overstated.

The damage done to the reputation and credibility of the United States government and it's complicit media cannot be overstated.

The mass death and chaos caused by her "mistake" in Libya are ongoing and deplorable.

We can only guess what fresh, new Hell the world will be forced to suffer from the fallout of her next "mistake"

Any sane and just society would prosecute those who launch wars based on false pretexts.

We are about to promote one of these traitors to the highest office on the planet.

Vote for a corrupt war criminal and don't be surprised when you get corruption and war.

The US Brings World to the Brink of Nuclear War by Cindy Sheehan

October 14, 2016  - "teleSur"-  What’s happening in Syria has been going on for over five years and it's not a civil war.
U.S. imperialism has been exporting disaster around the world for over a century now, but not since the “Cuban” missile crisis in 1962, has the U.S. put the world on the brink of such a disaster as we are witnessing today.

The conflict began as a U.S.-funded effort to depose President Bashar Assad and install a puppet government in Damascus friendly to U.S. interests. I am sure there are some legitimate forces in Syria who oppose the government of Assad, but the U.S. does not care about democracy—afterall Assad was elected by his people.

Also in Syria, approximately one dozen militias are not only trying to overthrow the Assad government but they are also fighting amongst themselves . The ranking Democrat on the U.S. Congressional House Intelligence Committee, uber-Zionist Adam Schiff of California, said of the phenomena of CIA-funded militias fighting in places like Aleppo, “It’s part of the three-dimensional chess game.” This chess game, played by empires for millennia, profit the wealthy and as always, the people pay the heavy price.

Today we learned that China is contemplating joining Russia and Syria in their alliance to protect the sovereignty of Syria and for stabilization in the Middle East.
The U.S. has long invaded and provoked weaker countries like Afghanistan and Iraq which have little hope of retaliating but nonetheless use what resources they have to fight off U.S. imperialism. However, provoking Russia in places like Syria and Ukraine seems to be the height of arrogance and stupidity on the part of the U.S.
For many years, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been the rational actor in this insane U.S. provocation, but Russia is getting ready to fight back—reportedly holding civil defense drills, warning Russians abroad, and even testing nuclear missiles.

Some of us see no hope for the mis-leaders here in the U.S. to provide some sanity in its foreign policy. In the last U.S. presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the war criminal Clinton reaffirmed her hardcore stance to go to war with Russia, through Syria, if necessary. Clinton also declared her support for a "no fly zone" over Syria, which the chair of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford said would require 70,000 U.S. troops to maintain and would definitely mean war with Russia.

Even though Russia has been invited into Syria by the government—as rational people who are filled with apprehension over the reality of this danger—we should be calling on all world leaders to pause in their rush to war.

But the only thing that can really stop imperialist carnage is an international working-class force, refusing to be used as cannon-fodder for capitalism, and instead fighting for socialism.

Our very survival as a species depends on international solidarity.

U.S. Hands off Syria Sign on Letter (Please redistribute)

Dear Friends of Peace and Justice in the U.S. and the World,

We are very pleased to announce that, following a lengthy round of deliberations among several organizations and leading individuals in the peace movement, about the urgent need for a broad coalition to oppose war and U.S./NATO intervention for a forced regime change is Syria, about 30 organizations and 18 prominent leaders of the peace movement have currently signed on the Coalition’s Points of Unity statment and have agreed to cooperate within the framework of an Ad Hoc coalition named Hands of Syria Coalition.

Our objective is to create the broadest possible united front for peace and justice by peace activists and organizations in the U.S. and around the world to fight for an end all violence, intervention and sanctions against Syria, which is now threatening world peace.

We have attached our Points of Unity statement to this email (please see below) for your review. It is our sincere hope that you will also agree with this statement and join this broad coalition, either as an organization or as a pro-peace individual.

To sign on to this statement and join the Hands Off Syria Coalition, please go to:

We sincerely thank you for considering this invitation, and ask you to kindly distribute this invitation broadly.

Hands Off Syria Coalition
An Urgent Message for Peace on the Eve of Wider War

We raise our voices against the violence of war and the enormous pressure of war propaganda, lies and hidden agendas that are used to justify this war and every past U.S. war.
We, the undersigned organizations and individuals, endorse the following Points of Unity and will work together as an Ad Hoc Coalition to help put an end to the regime change intervention by the United States, NATO and their regional allies and the killing of innocent people in Syria:

1.     The continuation of the war in Syria is the result of a U.S.-orchestrated intervention by the United States, NATO, their regional allies and reactionary forces, the goal of which is regime change in Syria.

2.     This policy of regime change in Syria is illegal and in clear violation of the United Nations Charter, the letter and spirit of international law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

3.     This policy of forced regime change is threatening the security of the region and the world and has increased the danger of direct confrontation between the United States and Russia, with the potential of a nuclear catastrophe for the whole world.

4.     War and U.S. and EU sanctions have destabilized every sector of Syria’s economy, transforming a once self-sufficient country into an aid-dependent nation. Half the Syrian population is now displaced. A UN ESCWA report reveals these U.S. sanctions on Syria are crippling aid work during one of the largest humanitarian emergency since World War II. The one third of Syrians refugees in surrounding Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey have been hit hard by U.S. cuts to UNICEF. This forces desperate refugees to struggle to reach Europe.

5.     No foreign entity, be it a foreign government or an armed group, has the right to violate the fundamental rights of the Syrian people to independence, national sovereignty and self-determination. This includes the right of the Syrian government to request and accept military assistance from other countries, as even the U.S. government has admitted.

6.     Only the people of Syria have the inalienable right to choose their leaders and determine the character of their government, free from foreign intervention. This right cannot be properly exercised under the conditions of U.S.-orchestrated foreign intervention against the Syrian people.

7.     Our opposition is to forced regime change in Syria by U.S.-backed foreign powers and their mercenaries. It is not our business to support or oppose President Assad or the Syrian government. Only the Syrian people have the right to decide the legitimacy of their government.

8.     The most urgent issue at present is peace and putting an end to the violence of foreign intervention that has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and the displacement of millions of Syrians both internally or as refugees abroad.

Based on these Points of Unity, we, as individuals and organizationsin an Ad Hoc Coalitionagree on the following demands and commit ourselves to working together to help achieve them:

1.     An immediate end to the U.S. policy of forced regime change in Syria and full recognition and compliance by the U.S., NATO and their allies with principles of international law and the U.N. Charter, including respect for the independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

2.     An immediate end to all foreign aggression against Syria, and serious efforts toward a political resolution to the war.

3.     An immediate end to all military, financial, logistical and intelligence support by the U.S., NATO and their regional allies to all foreign mercenaries and extremists in the Middle East region.

4.     An immediate end to economic sanctions against Syria. Massive international aid for displaced people within Syria and Syrian refugees abroad.

Only in a peaceful and independent Syria, free of foreign aggression, can the people of Syria freely exercise their sovereign rights, express their free will and make free choices about their government and their country’s leadership.

We invite all supporters of peace and peoples’ right to self-determination around the world to join hands of cooperation in this effort to achieve these most humanitarian demands.

We need jobs, healthcare, education and an end to racist police violence here at home, not U.S. wars abroad!!

The Russians are Coming!!!! by Anthony Freda

In a bizarre and reckless resurrection of Cold War hysteria, Hillary and the corporate media are seeking to blame the Russians for hacking into the DNC, compromising the election process and trying to start WW3.

Of course, they present Zero evidence to prove their conspiracy theory, but the new "Red" Scare is on.

Former high ranking NSA officer, William Binney says it was US intelligence, not the Russian boogieman who have been intercepting and retaining data illegally.

Despite what the discredited Clinton News Network says, The NSA has all of Clinton’s emails and the FBI could gain access to them any time they wanted.

No need for Trump to ask Pooty-Poot for those emails, he can just call on the FBI or NSA to hand them over.

All of this finger pointing seems to be designed to demonize Russia as a means to pre-condition the public to armed conflict with our perennial "enemy".

The “no fly zone” that Clinton wants to impose over Syria would mean war with Russia from the very second it was implemented since, under U.S. military doctrine, it requires the immediate destruction of all “enemy” air defenses.

That was a relatively easy assignment for NATO forces in Libya, in 2011, but Syrian airspace is now guarded by the world’s most sophisticated defense systems, manned by Russian operators, guarded by Russian Marines, and backed by Russia’s strategic nuclear forces.

Will Washington risk global nuclear war to protect Al Qeda?

Open Memo to Barack Obama: Step Down off of Russia's Ass! by Cindy Sheehan W/WHITEHOUSE.GOV RESPONSE(EDITED 10/21/16)

To: US President Barack Obama

From: Cindy Sheehan
Subject: Step down from Russia

cc: US Adjunct Secretary of War John Kerry

I don’t know how much control you have over this bellicose Empire, but as apparent head of it, I felt compelled to reach out to you one more time.

I have been trying to warn you and warn the people of the US for almost eight years now that your thirst for blood and continuation of wars and starting more wars would eventually come to really bite you in the ass and now it has in a big way.

Barack, you really need to step down off of Russia’s ass right now. In the recent past, you and your Empire have really only provoked war against weak nations that could not mount a very credible defense, but Russia? How seriously moronic can you be?

Look, in case you didn’t know it, Russia has nukes and no matter what I feel about Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin, they are not one of your weaker nations that cannot fight back.

Russia has reportedly just tested nuclear bombs. Now another nuclear power, China is joining in the Russia-Syria alliance.

I know you have a bunker for you and your family just in case the mushroom clouds start to “bloom” all over this planet, but I think the rest of us will be far more fortunate to go in the initial bombardment.

It’s obvious you don’t care about me or my children and grandchildren, (or anyone else in the world) but how can you even begin to be comfortable in condemning your daughters to a world forever doomed to nuclear winter?

You were the first African American president, but do you really want to go down in a non-existent future as the first African American president to start WWIII?

I demand that you BACK OFF of your illegal policy of regime change in the sovereign nation of Syria for starters. Don't you have enough problems just in your own country without worrying about the issues in Syria? Even if this crisis is averted, the world cannot last long with the US Imperial jackboot print all over the planet.

Wouldn’t you rather be the first African American president who made gigantic strides towards a peaceful planet than to be infamous as the one who destroyed it?

For gods’ sake and the sake of the planet, Barack, back off!

Cindy Sheehan
Peace Activist

Thank you for writing.  By his actions, Russian President Vladimir Putin has demonstrated a rejection of the bedrock principles of European and global security.  The occupation and attempted annexation of the Crimean Peninsula in Ukraine, Russia’s ongoing destabilizing activities in eastern Ukraine, the support of Syria’s brutal dictator Bashar al‑Assad, and the crackdown on basic civil liberties within its own borders have only served to increase Russian isolation from the rest of the world.  The United States has reiterated our commitment to defend ourselves and our allies against Russian intimidation and hostility and to work to ensure Russia’s coercion against its neighbors does not succeed.

My Administration has strongly condemned Russia’s occupation of Crimea, which violates international law and Ukrainian territorial sovereignty.  We responded by joining our allies to swiftly enact economic sanctions targeting top individuals in the Russian government and arms industry, as well as the critical financial, energy, and defense sectors of their economy.  Additionally, the United States has reinforced our commitment to NATO and collective defense by coordinating with our allies to temporarily relocate military equipment and conduct training exercises in Baltic and Central European countries.  And in order to make our partners in this region more resilient against Russian coercion and aggression, we are working to strengthen democratic institutions, embrace open economies, and diversify energy supplies.

The United States will continue to work with Russia in areas where we share pragmatic common interests, including promoting nonproliferation, advancing nuclear safety and security, preventing atrocities and humanitarian crises, and combatting violent extremism and terrorism.  In this spirit of cooperation, we invite Russia to work toward an inclusive transition of power in Syria and to end their attempts to prop up Assad—a dictator rejected by a majority of the Syrian people.

Since the end of the Cold War, America’s goal has been to integrate a strong and prosperous Russia into the international community as a constructive stakeholder through investment, trade, and security cooperation.  As President, I welcome the day when Russia returns as a participant in the international system that is willing to respect the territorial integrity of countries and the rights of individual citizens.  America stands with our allies when Russian leadership takes action to undermine these aims, and we will continue to lead with persistent, steady resolve.

Meet Madeleine by Anthony Freda

Meet Madeleine Albright.

As former Secretary of State in the Clinton administration, she enthusiastically defended the brutal sanctions imposed on Iraq which resulted in the death of as many as 576,000 children.
In 1996 she defended the murderous sanctions during a 60 Minutes interview when she declared “we think the price is worth it.”

The sanctions achieved nothing but the mass death of children and the suffering of innocents.

Now she says there is special place in Hell for women who don't vote for Hillary.

I hope there is a special place in Hell for Her.
